CASHMERE,
PASHMINA…
See Silk advice below
WEARING:
Cashmere and Pashmina are organic and natural
fibres.
Therefore we recommend you not to wear those two days in a
row, for they need at least 24 hours to air out.
CLEANING:
DRY CLEAN:
Professional dry clean (a single
clean with a very soft product) is the best way for your
Cashmere and Pashmina products to keep their original qualities
as long as possible.
COLD OR COOL WASH (30 to 35°C maximum):
You may, if you prefer, hand or machine
wash your Cashmere or Pashmina items , with cold or cool
water (up to 35°C), but only from the second cleaning
on (dry clean only on the first time).
Please find below a couple of basic precautions
to be taken then.
WHEN?
- CASHMERE: after 10 wearings or so.
- PASHMINA: after 20 wearings or so.
HOW?
HAND WASH :
Never use bleach or chlorine
Never use corrosive laundry detergent nor any laundry softener
Never soak for a long time
Never scrub
Never wring or twist
Wash the item with cold or cool water and a little bit of
mild soap or wool detergent and gently press the item with
the tip of your fingers
Rinse gently but thoroughly with cold or cool water and
with the tip of your fingers
Drip and compress by rolling into a terry-towel
MACHINE WASH :
Turn the sweater inside out
Place it into a cloth such as a pillowcase or sham
Place the whole into the washing machine with a little bit
of wool detergent
Never use bleach or chlorine
Never use corrosive laundry detergent nor any laundry softener
Select the Wool programme
Spinning :
Pashmina : never use the spinning function of your washing
machine; always hand-drip and compress by rolling into a
terry-towel
Cashmere : 600 rpm maximum spin speed in washing machine
DRYING:
Never use a tumble dryer.
For an item to keep its original shape, lay it flat on a
terry towel.
Never place wet items near sources of heat such as radiator
or sun, for this would alter colour.
About Clothes containing SILK
…
Basic care advice stated above also applies
to clothes containing silk but here are extra precautions
to take for the latter.
Rinse thoroughly as many times as necessary
after washing.
Always hand-drip and compress by rolling into a terry-towel
(no spinning in washing machine!)
